Drive in Movies at Jindalee Home
2014:
We approached Jindalee Home with the idea of holding Drive-in Movies at the centre the management thought it a fabulous idea and on Saturday 11th October we held the first drive-in showing the movie Despicable Me 2.
CCC provided the logistics, music during the afternoon with Silken Thomas, a sausage sizzle and fireworks finale.
Businesses provided free popcorn, glow sticks, balloons, and if wearing a onesie free soft serve.
After the success of the inaugural drive-in movie Aventus took this idea to their Australia Wide Centres.
2015:
It was Halloween, Saturday 31 October, and a safe environment was created for children to trick or treat with dress up competitions, games, jumping castle, a ‘scary’ selfie shack photo-booth and trick and treat bags.
The afternoon began with the band Yesterday’s Heroes and the movie Penguins of Madagascar started just after sunset.
Businesses provided glow sticks, popcorn, balloons, Sno-cones, chips, and soft serves.
Rotary provided a BBQ and food trucks rounded out the food offerings.
